Most facial serums fall into one of two camps: watery toners that just feel refreshing, or heavier "treatment" serums that pack in actives but feel sticky. This one is designed to do both jobs.

The base is real cucumber hydrosol.  The aromatic water left over from distilling cucumber. It has that unmistakable clean, cool, slightly sweet cucumber scent, and it acts as a light toner right out of the bottle. Layered into that base are the actives: hyaluronic acid for hydration, vitamin C as an antioxidant, plus aloe, vitamin E, allantoin, and panthenol.

I formulated it as the middle step of my own daily routine. I wanted something that felt refreshing enough that I'd reach for it every morning, but that also carried real active ingredients, not just a nice-smelling water.

  • Real cucumber hydrosol (the aromatic water from distilling cucumber)
  • Hyaluronic acid
  • Vitamin C
  • Aloe
  • Vitamin E
  • Allantoin
  • Panthenol (provitamin B5)
  • No parabens, sulfates, phthalates, or synthetic fragrance

What it feels like: Cool, light, refreshing. Absorbs immediately with no stickiness. Sits well under moisturizer without pilling.

What it smells like: Clean cucumber scent, bright, cool, faintly sweet. The scent comes from the hydrosol itself, not added fragrance.

A note on packaging (and why it matters): Vitamin C is a fantastic ingredient and it's notoriously fussy. Light, heat, and air all degrade it, which is why some vitamin C serums lose their potency within weeks of opening. To protect the actives, we bottle this serum in an amber dropper bottle that blocks UV light. Unlike the moisturizer, where the amber bottle is really an esthetic choice, vitamin C genuinely needs the protection. Store it somewhere cool and out of direct sunlight and it'll stay at its best.

How to use it (and one tip): Only 2–3 drops are needed per use — this is a concentrated formula, not a splash-it-on toner. After cleansing, dispense the drops onto your fingertips or directly into your palm, then press into face and neck. Let it absorb for a minute before layering your moisturizer on top.

One habit worth building: don't let the dropper tip touch your skin. Dispense by dropping it on to your fingers then apply. This keeps the dropper (and the bottle) as clean as possible over the life of the product.

  • The serum and the moisturizer do different jobs. The serum delivers concentrated actives hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, allantoin, and panthenol directly to clean skin. The moisturizer then seals those actives in. Together they do more than either does alone.
  • Only 2 to 3 drops for the full face and neck. It's a treatment serum, not a toner, so a little goes a long way.
  • After cleansing, before moisturizer, morning and evening. Let it absorb for a minute before layering the moisturizer on top.
