Most "rich" facial moisturizers sit on top of your skin like a film. Most "lightweight" ones don't actually moisturize. This one splits the difference: rich enough to do the job, light enough that you'll forget you're wearing it.
The base is real lavender hydrosol, the aromatic water left over from distilling lavender essential oil. It's what gives this moisturizer its soft, unmistakable scent (no synthetic fragrance, no perfume oils...just real lavender). Layered into that base are the actives: niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, silk protein, and aloe. The result is a finished product that feels weightless on the skin but delivers real ingredients that keep working through the day.
I formulated this for myself first. I wanted something I could wear under sunscreen and makeup without pilling, something that didn't leave my face shiny an hour later, and something that smelled like the real thing rather than a laboratory approximation of it. This is what I ended up with.

What it feels like:Lightweight, silky, absorbs in under a minute. Never heavy. Never greasy. Sits well under sunscreen and makeup with no pilling.
What it smells like:Real lavender with a soft, herbal scent, and genuinely relaxing.
A note on packaging:This moisturizer comes in an amber pump bottle. Amber glass blocks UV light, which is probably overkill for this particular formula, honestly, but I'd rather over-protect the ingredients than under-protect them. The pump also keeps the product cleaner over its lifespan than a jar would; no fingers, no air, no contamination from repeated dipping.
How to use it (and one small tip):Two small pumps is all you need — this is a concentrated formula, not a lotion. Massage into face and neck after cleansing (Step 1) and serum (Step 2), morning and evening.
One habit worth building:don't let the pump nozzle touch your skin. Dispense onto your fingertips first, then apply.
Light. It sinks in within a minute, does not sit on top of the skin, and works fine under sunscreen or makeup. The lightness is deliberate. Hyaluronic acid pulls water into the skin and niacinamide supports the barrier, so you get real hydration without the heavy, occlusive feel of a night cream.

I am one of those people who can't stand strong fragrances like scented candles or perfumes and air fresheners. So I hesitate to buy scented soaps, but I found the Oatmeal and Honey Goat Milk soap to have a very mild and pleasing scent. So for those of you who have scent sensitivity - this one is for you!
