Eucalyptus Rosemary Goat Milk Soap

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Clearing, herbaceous, a little medicinal in the best way. Eucalyptus is crisp and cooling; rosemary is green and grounding.
  • Mornings, post-workout, when you are congested and want a shower that helps your head clear or if you just want some morning energizing. Also a favorite of gardeners at the end of a long day.
  • Powdered goat milk. Fresh milk scorches when it meets the lye and gives inconsistent results. Powdered keeps the fatty acids, sugars, and proteins that make the bar creamy. Vitamins don't survive saponification in any goat milk soap.
  • About 3 to 4 weeks with one daily user and a well-draining dish. Cold-process bars are softer than commercial soap and can wear down a little faster if they sit in water. Commercial bars are engineered with hardeners and have the glycerin stripped out, which makes them last longer but also more drying. Ours keep all of their natural glycerin, which is what makes them so moisturizing. A well-draining dish is the single best thing you can do to make a handmade bar last.
  • The essential oil blend is bright but not harsh. Most people can use it on the face; if your skin is highly reactive, use it below the neck.
  • Older kids yes. For infants and very young children, eucalyptus essential oil is not recommended, so use a gentler bar like Oatmeal and Honey
